{ for Alisha... }

My good friend and old roommate, Alisha ordered some cards from me and I've finally completed them! I tried to keep with the "not-too-cutesy" and sort of "shabby chic" style that she liked. Hope you enjoy Alisha... I had fun creating them! :)

{ hair clip fever! }

This past Saturday I had the opportunity to teach ladies how to make hair clips in my parent's ward. I had so much fun teaching them and I think they enjoyed it too! Every one's hair clips turned out fabulous and I'm pretty sure everyone went home happy! After I got home that night I obviously caught the hair clip fever because I made 14 clips before going to bed! My fingers were so incredibly tired after all that gluing, but it was worth it of course! Angie has a lot of flower clips, so I decided to make the "sleek" or "sophisticated" bows (as I call them) just to shake things up a bit! I did make a couple of flower ones too, but mostly bows, something a little different which is always nice! Here they are all finished.. so Enjoy!

{ fresh from the patch... }

My new friend Traci and I created these birth announcements for her baby boy, who was born 3 weeks ago! Congrats! I had created this originally with my other friend Tiffany in Rexburg when her little boy was born and it turned out so cute that when Traci saw it, she wanted to make them for her baby Kaden! I'm so glad they turned out just as cute as the first ones with a few minor changes! Thanks Traci for letting me create with you!

It says "fresh from the patch..." and then inside it says, "Our little pumpkin was born on..." with all the birth information of course! So it's kind of a card and announcement all in one!

{ polka-dot birthday }

I love everything about this card... polka dots, buttons, ribbon, flowers and birthdays! I guess I love embellishments! It's pretty simple too, but sometimes simple is best! I think it turned out super cute for my friend's birthday! I know I've been making tons of cards lately, but I feel like that's all that I've had time for right now. Don't worry though... I have other projects in the works, hopefully I can complete them soon so I can post something other than cards! In the meantime... enjoy!

{ Happy Halloween! }

A few cards I sent to relatives for Halloween. Usually when I send things out for the holidays I'm behind, but for once I'm early! I was determined not to be late this time! They turned out pretty cute... even though Halloween is supposed to be scary! I don't do scary very well!

{ pick-a-pocket tote }

My Mom and I found the pattern for this new tote... I have to say that it's my new favorite because it's got pockets on the outside and it's pretty easy to make too! I made this for my sister-in-law's birthday. Of course I had to make a matching change purse and tissue holder! Happy Birthday Lena! I hope you enjoy!

Oh and I almost forgot, here's a little purse that I made for my niece Taylor's birthday. She's turning 4 next week, I can't believe she's that old! She's a cutie! Hopefully she likes her present! Happy Birthday Tay!

{ latest creations }

Here are a couple of new cards I've made recently and a birthday invitation I created for John's grandma's 80th birthday celebration. My favorite card is the thank you card that I made using my new alphabet stamps!

{ pink pages }

So I've got a lot of catching up to do on Angie's scrapbook and so I'm just trying to get these pages done because I've been putting them off for a long time. You know how there are just certain pictures that aren't your favorite or something and you just don't ever get around to it? Well that's how these first two pages are and I'm proud to say that I completed them, except for the journaling. Notice how the theme is pink? I can assure you that there will be lots more where that came from! I love pink! And it's a better alternative to purple in my opinion. It's never been my favorite color, but I'll use it every now and then. I really like how that last page came out, maybe it's because I love that picture! :) I'm really getting into stamping on my pages, so all the flourishes that you see are my doing. I got a new stamp set the other day and decided to try it out. I also love the quote on there, It's so true! Hope everyone had a great day!

{ finally some scrapbooking... }

It's been months since I've done any scrapbooking, so finally I pulled out my unfinished pages and completed this the other day. It's not my favorite, but it's cute. All I need to do is add the journaling and I'll have to do that when we get a new printer. Anyway, just thought I'd share this with everyone, obviously I'm a little, no scratch that... a lot behind on my scrapbooking! But at least I'll always have something to do, right?

{ birthday cards }

I love birthday cards because I love cupcakes! The brown and blue card was Brad's birthday card... I have a hard time making cards for boys in general because I love flowers, glitter and the color pink, which are all very girly things! Oh well, it didn't turn out too bad! I used a couple of new clear birthday stamps that I just recently got at Jo-ann's... I really liked how they turned out! Gotta love those 40% off coupons at Jo-ann's!

{ change purse }

My Mom and I found this pattern online for this cute little change purse or sunglasses holder or whatever fits in it! So we made one for Krystal for her birthday to match the bag my Mom made her. It turned out so cute! I love having everything... it just makes me really happy! I had a problem getting the snap on with my new snap setter, so I finally used the directions on the snap packaging and used a hammer and a spool of thread... crazy you say? But it works! So don't go wasting money on a snap setter because it's much easier the other way! Or maybe I just got a bad setter, in that case I'm taking mine back! Anyways, tell me what you think?

{ engagement pics }

Alright, here are the pictures that I took tonight for Brad and Krystal. They turned out great with the help of my sister Lauren! She worked her magic with photoshop and made these look outstanding! Thanks Lauren for all your help and expertize! I love how these turned out!

{ diaper bag }

I made this diaper bag a couple of weeks ago because my other one was falling apart at the seams! It was my first time ever making a tote, but it turned out pretty good I think! My favorite part of the whole tote is the ribbon on the side that gives it that finished look! Or it could be just because ribbon is my favorite embellishment! In case your wondering what type of fabric I used... the striped fabric is actually called a home essentials fabric, it's a little bit thicker and is very sturdy, so it's perfect for totes. I love how it turned out!

{ hair clips... more flowers! }

Alright here are some hair clips that I finally finished today. I actually had the flower part of it done for a while now, but just didn't quite put it all together until today because I had a lot of time on my hands. It's quite a process to glue all the pieces together when you have so many clips. But it's well worth it! I think they turned out super cute... what do you think? Angie was in need of some new clips because hers were looking pretty sad! Most of these clips have felt flowers on them that I found at a shop in Rexburg called Scrapadoodle, it's a great place to find fun scrapbooking embellishments, especially flowers. I'm thinking that the felt will hold up a little bit better than the fabric flowers, we'll see!

{ i love flowers! }

I noticed that almost every single one of my cards have flowers on them! I actually have a hard time not putting flowers on my cards! I guess that makes me a real girly-girl, but I'm okay with that! :) My favorite flowers are daisies and Gerbera daisies because they seem so happy! I can't help but smile every time I see a daisy!

{ Inspiration }

I've been thinking about creating this blog for a while now and with the help of my good friend Brittany it's now complete! I wanted to start this blog because I've had some of my friends ask to see some of the projects that I've created and that have turned out pretty cute if you ask me! I love scrap booking, card-making, photography, just recently sewing and quilting, plus any other crafts you can think of! Hopefully this will help inspire those of you who enjoy creating as much as I do!
